Habitat Coffee

Hi guys I'm back with a post on my brunch date with Ben yesterday. After hearing all the positive reviews on blogs, and on Instagram, we decided to head to Habitat Coffee for brunch. Nestled among many of the brunch places in Upper Thomson, I must say that it's quite easy to locate the location. Just that parking can be quite a chore, as there are only limited parking lots along the shop-houses. We gave up on trying to find a lot along the stretch, and headed to Sin Ming Plaza to park instead. It's just a short walk to the cafe, so it's really convenient.

Food wise, I must say that the quality is really good, and reasonably priced. We ordered 2 drinks, 2 mains and truffle fries to share. The bill came up to about $53. We loved the food there! The pastas were really well done, with lots of ingredients. Ben especially loved my Blackened Dory Pasta, which is essentially just pan fried dory fish with black pepper aglio olio pasta. Sounds like an easy dish, but it was really good!

Alright some pictures that we snapped!

Can you spot Habitat coffee along this stretch of road?
We were there at about 3pm on Saturday, and the cafe was still rather packed. However, the lucky us managed to find a seat once we were there.

Bad lightings for people shots
Iced Tiramisu coffee and Iced Mocha
Pretty yummy, but nothing much to rave about. The iced flavoured coffee were priced at $6.90 each.
Cheesynara ($16)
This was really yummy! Just look at the amount of sausages and bacon. Mega yums.
Blackened Dory ($16)
This was definitely the highlight of the day. The dory fish was so well marinated, and soft. Most importantly, it was fresh, and complimented the black pepper aglio olio so well. This is a must order whenever you visit Habitat Coffee.
Hello Truffle fries ($8)
I'm a sucker for anything with potatoes, especially fries, so this was definitely a thumbs up for me. The portion of the fries was huge, and i loved the subtle hint of truffle. Yummylicious!
A summary of what we had.

All in all, I would think that Habitat Coffee is a really nice place to chill during the weekdays, but not quite so on a weekend. The food is so yummy, it'll keep you wanting for more. So if you're into pastas and truffle fries, do give Habitat Coffee a try. You won't regret it.

Food for Thought

Hi guys, I'm back with an update in hope to revive this dying space. So, about 2 weeks ago, Ben and I decided to head to Food for Thought (Botanic Gardens) for brunch. If you have been following me on instagram, you will know that I'm a die hard fan of Food for Thought. I love that their portions are huge, and the quality of the food is excellent too! However, both Ben and I were pretty disappointed with the Full Works that we ordered that day (We must order this everytime we are there!). The portions weren't as huge as the other outlets that we've been to, and the scrambled eggs, and sausages weren't as yummy. So, I would recommend all of you to just head to the Food for Thought outlet at the National Museum. It's perfect for gatherings, and yes, just order Full Works. No regrets!

Alright, here are some of the photos that we snapped!

Next up, pictures of food!

We had bread and butter pudding too, but we forgot to snap a picture of it. Haha. I must say that the bread and butter pudding was pretty good!
After brunch, we walked around, and snapped more pictures!

Super handsome shot of Ben. *Inserts hearts emoji* Hahahah!

Alright, that's all I have for this post! I'll be back really soon!

Till then.

Manna Story with the babes

Hi guys! Happy weekends! I'm so glad that I met up with my babes yesterday for a short dinner gathering at Manna Story (Jcube). The food was awesome, mainly also because of the awesome company I had. Which made the whole meal so enjoyable! We sort of over ordered, but still finished up everything nonetheless. This goes to show how good the food is!
So here are the pictures that we took yesterday!

Love this girls! <3

So after a round of picture spamming, we went to Manna Story for our dinner!
Cute decorations right outside the restaurant
Awesome view of the ice skating ring from the restaurant
Spammed more pictures before food was served! and LOL at my face. Hahahha.

Okay, and then it was time for food!
We ordered a set for 2 pax, a chicken bulgoggi, and a portion of korean rice cakes with cheese.
First up, banchan!
A variety of korean side dishes. Yums!
Pumpkin soup which tasted like pumpkin puree to me.
Chapchae (Stir fried vegetables with vermicelli)
I don't know the name of this dish, but it tasted a little like satay chicken in our opinion.
Chicken bulgogi. This dish was part of the set that we ordered.
Miso Soup with loads of ingredients in it
An assortment of pancakes and fried cucumber
Chicken Bulgoggi. Apparently we didn't know that there was already this dish in the set for 2 pax, and ordered it again. But it's really yummy, so we finished it all! Haha!
Saba Fish
Korean rice cakes in spicy sauce topped with cheese
Complimentary pancake when you spend above $40. This was the bomb! It's so yummy! The sides of the pancakes were really crispy, but the pancake was still so moist and good. especially when you dip into the sauce that comes with the pancake. It is simply heavenly! Slurps!

Snapped 3 more pictures with our table of food before we digged in. This is too satisfying! Noms!

So I've basically come to a conclusion that when you visit Manna Story, you must definitely order the Pancake, rice cakes in spicy sauce, zhapchae and the Chicken bulgoggi. Please do take note that the portions are really quite big, so don't over order! :)
